Lady Hornets Fall To Top-Seeded Mifflinburg In D4 Quarterfinals

Wellsboro fell to Mifflinburg 10-0 in 5 innings to open the quarterfinal round of the District IV Class 3A playoffs Tuesday afternoon.

Mifflinburg held the Lady Hornets hitless. They scored 5 runs in the 1st, one in the 3rd and closed the game out with 3 runs in the 5th.

Taylor Stewart was one walk away from a perfect game for Mifflinburg, drawn by sophomore Rylee Coolidge.

Sophomore Adelyn Frantz allowed 5 hits to go along with 10 walks and 5 strikeouts.

The Lady Hornets finish the 2026 season 10-11 (6-9 NTL Large School Division).
