Kosek Claims Top Spot At Cliff Robbins Invite

It was a whirlwind weekend for senior Lauren Kosek.

Not only did she claim the top spot at the 51st annual Cliff Robbins Memorial Invite in Dallas, PA on Saturday, but she also committed to run for Division I Toldeo later that afternoon.

Kosek ran an 18:46 to take the top spot of 167 Varsity female runners, winning by almost a full two minutes.

Junior Molly Tice (25:36) finished 71st, junior Luisa Crocco (27:53) came home in 103rd, and freshman Brianna O'Shea Losinger (30:04) was 128th.

For the boys, freshman William Rudy (20:04) was the top-finishing Hornet in 51st, followed by sophomore Taitt Webster (20:48) in 65th. Freshman Lucas Crowl (21:49) was 89th, junior Jack Hammerton (22:46) finished 115th, freshman Jeff Rawson (24:18) finished 155th, freshman Justin Dunlap (25:21) came home 175th, and freshman Aaron Salevsky (30:14) rounded out the team in 208th.

Wellsboro finished 16th as a team with 425 places. The girls did not have enough runners to score.

In the Junior High race, Kendall DeShazo (15:55) finished 67th, Serenity Harrison (16:20) was 79th, Avral DeShazo (17:32) was 110th, and Trinity Angus (18:38) was 129th.

Wiley Sargent (12:12) finished 19th for the boys while Emmett Tice (15:16) was 91st and Devin Shaw (23:59) was 155th.

Both teams are back in action Tuesday at Wyalusing for a tri-meet with Towanda.
