JV Hornets Avenge Early Season Loss To Canton

After falling to Canton to start the JV Football season, Wellsboro avenged that loss and defeated the JV Warriors 30-14 on Monday night.

The win was their second straight.

"We had another great night of the boys performing well," coach Bryce Bitner stated. "We've played solid football now for two weeks and I couldn't be more proud of them. They're a young team that;s coming out and having fun competing. We made mistakes that we certainly will work on, but that's all part of the learning process."

Several Hornets scored touchdowns tonight including Colton Reese, Colton Hauser, and a defensive scoop and score by Ricky Moore following a Reese strip sack.

"We had some young guys like Dakota Phillips get in and play some QB for the first time which was fun to see," Bitner continued. "Those JV experiences are important for young freshman learning the change of game speed. Colton Reese grabbed his first TD catch and we also saw some guys get interceptions like Reed Moyer and Colton Carson grab their firsts. We're looking forward to another opportunity to keep getting better!"

Wellsboro (2-1) travels to Alparon Park next Monday to take on the Troy Trojans.
