Hornet XC Teams Run At Dash in the Dark Invite

The Wellsboro Cross Country teams headed north of the border to Owego, New York to run in the Dash In the Dark Invite Friday evening.

The Boys Varsity team finished 22nd overall with 521 places. The Girls Varsity team did not have enough runners to generate a team score.

For the boys, freshman William Rudy (18:11) led the team with a 57th place finish, sophomore Taitt Webster (18:31) was close behind in 65th, freshman Lucas Crowl (19:51) was 121st, junior Jack Hammerton (20:20) finished 141st, sophomore Jacob Patterson (21:20) crossed the line in 159th, freshman Justin Dunlap (23:02) placed 186th, and sophomore Jesse Spicer (24:11) was 195th.

In the girls race, junior Luisa Crocco (25:41) finished 103rd, freshman Brianna O'Shea Losinger (26:25) was 116th, and junior Anja Przybycien (28:41) crossed the line in 140th.

In the Junior High meet, the Wellsboro boys did not have enough runners for a team score, while the young Lady Hornets placed 14th with 301 places.

Wiley Sargent led the JH boys with a 7th place finish in 9:38. Emmett Tice (12:29) was 96th and Devin Shaw (17:18) took 169th.

On the girls side, Summer Boder (12:23) led the team with a 43rd place finish, Kendall DeShazo (12:36) took 51st, Serenity Harrison (12:51) placed 69th, Avral DeShazo (13:37) was 91st, and Trinity Angus (15:00) finished 120th.

The teams return to NTL action Tuesday when they head to Troy for a tri-meet with Sayre.
