Wellsboro hosted Wyalusing in NTL Large School at the Little League Complex on Sunday, April 14, falling 15-0 to the Lady Rams.
The game was called in the bottom of the 5th due to lightning.
Wyalusing scored 4 runs in the 1st, added six more in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd, one in the 4th, and two more in the top of the 5th.
Addison Fluck threw a complete, one-hit game, with 11 strikeouts.
Senior Caralyn Warner had the Lady Hornets' only hit on the afternoon, a single in the 5th. She also stole a base on a wild pitch.
Freshman Bailee Confer started on the mound for Wellsboro, allowing 8 runs (all earned) on 7 hits with two walks in an inning. Junior Paige Logsdon came on for the final four innings and allowed 7 runs on 6 hits with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 1-2 (1-2 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action this afternoon at Coudersport.
