Hornets Drop Regular Season Finale To Port Allegany

Wellsboro suffered a 74-0 defeat in their regular season finale at Port Allegany on Thursday, February 8.

The Gators ran the table on the evening, scoring six forfeits and four pin falls, two tech falls, and a major decision.

Port Allegany also won the Junior High match 63-12. Logan Stevens won by forfeit at 210 lbs. and Lance Starkweather pinned Maddin Nelson in 55 seconds at 170 lbs.

The Varsity team ends the regular season with a record of 6-19 (0-8 NTL) while the Junior High team finishes at 5-7.

The Varsity team will be back in action next Saturday at the North Section Tournament at Athens.
