First Annual Devin K. Webster Memorial Alumni Soccer Game Set For August 3rd

We are less than a month away from the 1st Annual Devin K. Webster Memorial Alumni Soccer Game!

If you are a Wellsboro alum and have not registered to play, and still want to, please call or text Todd Fitch (570-787-0459). The event is FREE and open to the public.

Throughout the afternoon there will be a t-shirt sale, small snacks and/or drinks available to purchase, and a 50/50 drawing, with proceeds going towards the Devin K. Webster Memorial Scholarship fund. Businesses wishing to donate to the fund, please contact Todd Fitch. Checks should be made payable to "Wellsboro Area School District" with "Devin K. Webster Memorial Fund" in the memo.

After the game, Devin's family and friends are inviting all who attend the game to a picnic, where everyone can enjoy the time together while sharing memories of time spent with Devin. Food for the picnic has already been graciously donated by local businesses/individuals, but we are asking for donations of a number of desserts/sweets (cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, etc.). These can be dropped off at the HS concession stand at the field either Friday or Saturday, August 2nd or 3rd. Those wanting to donate a dessert or sweet treat can contact Jo Yungwirth at 570-447-4690 to arrange a time for drop off. Refrigeration will be available.

The first annual Devin K. Webster Alumni Soccer Game has been scheduled for August 3rd at the Wellsboro Community Athletic Complex.

Registration and player check-in will take place beginning at 3:00 p.m. and the game will kick off at 4:00 p.m.

Male and female graduates, and family of Devin, are invited to participate. Teams will be organized by graduation year: even numbered graduation year (ex. 2018) will wear GREEN. Odd numbered graduation year (ex. 2017) will wear WHITE. Participants are asked to bring their own "team shirt" of the appropriate color as their game "jersey".

A $20.00 donation is requested to participate in the game. Those not playing in the game but wishing to make a donation to the Devin K. Webster Memorial Award can send their donation to Wellsboro High School, Attention: WHS Boys Soccer, 225 Nichols Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901. You can also bring your monetary gift on August 3. Checks should be made payable to Wellsboro Boys Soccer.

Spectators are welcome too! In addition to raising funds for the continuation of the Devin K. Webster Memorial Award, this time has been planned to provide an opportunity and space for Devin's teammates, classmates, friends, and family to gather and pay tribute to Devin's memory.
