The Wellsboro Cross Country teams came home with a win as they hosted North Penn-Mansfield, Cowanesque Valley and Wyalusing on Tuesday, October 10.
The girls team won 15-50 over Cowanesque Valley while falling 22-39 to North Penn-Mansfield and 24-31 to Wyalusing.
The Wellsboro boys defeated North Penn-Mansfield 25-32 but fell 22-35 to Wyalusing and 19-43 to Cowanesque Valley.
Freshman Lauren Kosek won the girls race in 21:44, sophomore Sophia Yoder (25:20) was 8th and junior Karah Blackwell (30:42) was 18th.
For the boys, sophomore Max Macias (20:11) was 4th, sophomore Henry Whitney (22:56) was 13th, sophomore Ethan Geneski (23:26) finished 16th, sophomore Robbie Bowers (25:06) was 20th, freshman Ethan Pollaro (42:40) came home 24th, and senior Tristan Lane (46:57) crossed the finish line in 25th.
In the Junior High races the young Lady Hornets beat all three teams 15-50 while the boys won 6-15 over Cowanesque Valley and North Penn-Mansfield. Wyalusing topped the young Hornet team 15-44.
Kaci Kosek was the top finisher in 12:53, followed by Lane Cozby (13:29), Owen Stumbo (14:07), Jacob Patterson (14:14), Bella Hawn (14:26), Addie Chaborek (14:58), Molly Tice (15:04), Anja Przybycien (16:26), and Sylvia Lane (29:15).
The team will travel to Northeast Bradford on Saturday for the NTL Coaches Invite.
