Hornets Swimmers Compete At Elk Lake Invite

Members of the Wellsboro Swim Team swam at the Elk Lake Invitational on Friday, December 30.

Senior Hayne Webster swam district qualifying times in the 200 yard IM (2:24.77), the 100 yard Butterfly (1:00.80), the 500 yard Freestyle (5:45.26), and the 100 yard Freestyle (54.75).

Junior Isobel Anderegg swam a district qualifying time in the 100 yard Butterfly (1:10.84), and freshman Makenna Robbins qualified in the 50 yard Freestyle (27.83).

Junior Madison Robbins placed 4th in the 200 yard Freestyle (2:21.87), 3rd in the 100 Freestyle (1:02.89), and 2nd in the 100 yard Breaststroke (1:17.97). Makenna Robbins placed 2nd in the 50 yard Freestyle, 4th in the 100 yard Backstroke (1:11.80), and 6th in the 100 yard Breaststroke (1:20.53).

Anderegg placed 3rd in the 200 yard Freestyle (2:20.64) and the 100 yard Butterfly, and placed 5th in the 100 yard Breaststroke (1:20.30).

The team is back in the pool on Wednesday, January 4 at Williamsport.
