The Wellsboro Varsity Girls XC team capped their regular season meet schedule by sweeping North Penn-Mansfield, Northeast Bradford, and Athens on Tuesday, October 13.
The Lady Hornets beat Athens 15-50, Northeast Bradford 22-35, and rival North Penn-Mansfield 26-30.
Sophomore Havah Simcox was the top place finisher for the Lady Hornets in 4th with a time of 23:40. Junior Madeline Bryant (23:52) was 5th, sophomore Julia DeCamp (23:59) was 6th, freshman Madison Robbins (27:06) was 14th, freshman Maddy Callahan (27:37) was 16th, and sophomore Madeline Gage (29:41) was 21st.
Northeast Bradford and Athens both topped the Hornets 15-50 while there were not enough runners for either North Penn-Mansfield and Wellsboro to register a team score.
Senior Aidan Fletcher (19:58) was 8th, junior Gabe Guignard (20:00) was 9th, junior Liam Manning (23:46) was 20th, and senior Anthony Dunkel (26:03) was 23rd.
In the Middle School races the Hornets lost to NEB and Athens 15-50 while the young Lady Hornets were swept 15-50 in all three scores.
Joseph Busch finished 6th in 11:14 and Jullian Linden (15:26) was 16th. Makenna Robbins (14:55) was 9th, Brooke Wheeler (15:44) was 15th, Kristina Belz (15:44) was 16th, and Paige Murdock (18:09) was 19th.
The teams are back in action this Saturday for the NTL Coaches Invite at Northeast Bradford.
