The Wellsboro JV Football team came home from Athens with a 28-0 victory on Monday, September 30.
Wellsboro scored once each quarter. Early in the first quarter freshman Will Kibler scored a 20-yard touchdown to put Wellsboro up early, then in the second quarter freshman Conner Adams completed a 17-yard pass for a touchdown to freshman Connor Burrell, giving Wellsboro a 14-0 lead halfway through the game.
Adams threw his second touchdown pass of the night to sophomore Coleman Brown from 36 yards out to put the Hornets up 21-0, then capped the night with his third touchdown pass in the beginning of the fourth quarter to Burrell.
The win improves the Hornets to 5-1 on the year. Next week the team hosts Milton beginning at 5:00 p.m.
