Cotner, Poirier named Wellsboro Gazette Athletes of the Winter Season

Senior Nathan Cotner and junior Lizzie Poirier were named Athletes of the Season at the Wellsboro Gazette Winter Sports Awards banquet on Sunday, March 26.

Cotner was named the swimming Athlete of the Season and Poirier was named the girls basketball Athlete of the Season. The two were also named Outstanding All-Stars in the respective sports.

Also being honored as Outstanding All-Stars from Wellsboro were junior Rachael Tuttle, freshman Cathryn Brought, senior Kaleb Smith, junior Dalton Prough, and senior Olivia Kurtz.

Senior Janessa Davis, junior Abby Feil, senior Jacob Singer, junior Connor Brought, senior Brandon Lamphier, and sophomore Hunter Brown were all Honorable Mention All-Stars and seniors Autum Kitajima, Alden Weiner were Specialty All-Stars.

Sophomores Brandyn Tuttle and Emma Poirier and freshman Brennan Warner were named Up and Coming players to watch.
