Girls XC tops Troy, CV; falls to Canton

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls XC team picked up two wins in a tri-meet with Canton, Troy, and Cowanesque Valley on Tuesday, October 13.

The girls beat Troy 15-50 and CV 27-32 and lost to Canton, 19-36. Sophomore Anna Bleggi finished 2nd (20:07), senior Camryn Keane (23:32) was 14th, freshman Taylor Romania (23:35) was 15th, senior Samantha Bailey (23:37) was 16th, freshman Brooke Unangst (23:54) was 17th, freshman Zoe Iseri (24:04) was 18th, senior Jordyn Coffee (24:18) was 19th, freshman Kara Doane (24:36) was 22nd, and freshman Rachel Chamberlain (25:58) ws 23rd.

In the Middle School race, the young Lady Hornets beat Canton 15-50 and lost to Troy 27-29 and CV 21-34. Jaime Palmer (10:30) and Kylie Butler (10:39) finished 3rd and 4th to lead the team.

The wins improve the Varsity team's record to 7-2. The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 at the NTL Coaches' Meet.
