Five Lady Hornets named to All-Region softball team

Five members of the Wellsboro Varsity Softball team were recently named to the All-Region team by the Towanda Daily Review.

Junior Sarah Ingerick was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman Alyssa Yungwirth was named Pitcher of the Year. Also on the first team was Junior Alexa Singer. Junior Jenny Young was the only second team selection and Yungwirth was on the all-rookie team.

Senior Paige Carr was a Gold Glove selection at catcher and Ingerick earned the honor at shortstop.
