Bleggi, Perry named to All-Region XC team

Sophomore Anna Bleggi and freshman Aidan Perry were just named to the All-Region cross country team by the Towanda Daily Review.

Bleggi was a first team selection for the girls and Perry was a second team selection for the boys.

"Both of these runners have proven to be strong competitors and well deserving of this recognition," said head coach Ron Brought. "Not only were they top runners in our NTL meets, they were able to compete with the best when the team traveled out of the area for invitational meets. As with any sport, maybe more so with running, conquering the mental aspect is a significant part of being successful. I'm confident this type of recognition will help fuel Aidan and Anna's competitive drive to achieve even more next season. Fortunately for Wellsboro Cross Country they are both young and just beginning and will provide the core of our team for several years."
