Sophomore Alexa Singer and Senior Brooke Kohler combined on a one-hitter to shut out Wyalusing 2-0 on Wednesday, April 23. Singer allowed no hits in three innings and Kohler allowed one hit and one walk, striking out five, in four innings to earn the win.
This shut out is the Lady Hornets' third in as many games, and the team hasn't allowed a run in the past 26 innings.
Sophomore Sarah Ingerick was 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, and an RBI, Singer had a double and scored a run, Junior Peyton Wilson had a double, Senior Maggie Smith scored a run, and Junior Paige Carr had an RBI.
The win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 8-1 (2-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Friday, April 25 as they host Athens.
