Hornet wrestlers fall to Towanda, 73-6

The Wellsboro Varsity wrestling team struggled in their first NTL match of the season, as they fell to Towanda, 73-6.

Senior Nate Ingerick was the lone Hornet to earn a victory, as he pinned D.J. Knowells in 5:33 at 138 lbs. Towanda won the other 5 matches against a short-handed Wellsboro squad and picked up 8 forfeits on the night.

In the Middle School match, the Hornets lost 88-9 to fall to 0-2 on the year.

With the loss, the Varsity team falls to 0-2 (0-1 NTL).
