Hornet wrestlers fall to South Williamsport

The Wellsboro Varsity wrestling team dropped their regualr season opener, 47-12, to South Williamsport Tuesday night.

Freshman Blaze Coolidge recorded a forfeit at 120 lbs., Senior Brandon Owlett defeated Ryan Seagrave by a 13-6 decision at 152 lbs., and Sophomore Owen Covert earned a 9-2 decision over Noah Hartley at 285 lbs.

In the Middle School match, the Hornets fell to South Williamsport, 54-18.

With the loss, both teams start the season 0-1. The team will be back in action on Thursday, December 19 as they travel to Towanda.
