The Wellsboro cross country teams particiapted in the Altoona Cross Country Invite Saturday, coming home with good results.
The girls came home with a third place finish with 241 while the boys tied for 7th with West Branch with 491 points out of the Class A teams.
Sophomore Jada Jackson paced the girls team with a 24th place finish in 21:12. Fellow Sophomore Jordyn Coffee was 45th (22:09), Sophomore Camryn Keane was 59th (23:00), Junior Caitlynn Butler was 61st (23:12), Sophomore Samantha Bailey was 63rd (23:14), Senior Charlotte Worthington was 67th (23:23), and Senior Baylee Mann was 90th (24:54).
For the boys, Senior Joey Doganiero finished 25th in 17:51, Freshman Joey Messmer was 95th (20:11), Junior Dalton Messmer was 122nd (20:58), Freshman Alden Weiner was 139th (21:56), and Sophomore David Zavetsky was 148th (22:46).
The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 28 as they participate in the NEPA Invite.
