Hornets bring home first win at Jersey Shore

The Hornet Varsity wrestling team brought home their first win of the 2011-12 season over the weekend at the Jersey Shore Tournament. The team finished 1-4 on the day, with their lone win coming against Hanover by the final of 33-27. With the win, the Hornets improve their record to 1-11 on the year.

The Middle School team was also in action over the weekend at Port Allegany. Nathan Watson finished 3rd at 80 lbs, Tyler Evans took home 6th at 95 lbs., and Kaleb Smith placed 3rd at 185 lbs. The Hornets will be back in action Thursday, January 19 as they host the Sayre Redskins.
