Hornet Softball falls to Wyalusing

The Wellsboro Varsity softball team dropped their second consecutive non-league to Wyalusing tonight, 8-0. Freshman Baylea Lehman went 2-3 to lead the Hornet at the plate. Freshman Paige Carr, Sophomore Maggie Smith, and Freshman Jordan Butters all added one hit each.

Smith suffered her third loss of the year on the mound for Wellsboro. She worked three innings on the mound, striking out one, walking three and allowing four earned runs. Brooke Kohler worked four innings, striking out three, allowing four runs, two earned.

With the loss, the Hornets are now 5-3 (4-1 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Thursday, April 26 as they travel to Athens.
