Hornets Pick Up First Win of 2009

The Hornets and first year head coach Brandon Falk picked up their first win of the 2009 season by defeating Cowanesque, 21-7. Freshman Ben Shaw and Junior Nick Saniga teamed up at Quarterback to complete 10 of 24 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns.

Junior Receiver Ethan Callahan caught three passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Running Back Thomas Johnston added 12 carries for 86 yards.

The Hornets will be in action again next week as they take on Troy on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at home. The J.V. team will play their first game on September 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Cowanesque.
