Hornet Middle School Team Falls to Canton

The Wellsboro Middle School team lost 30-18 to a tough Canton team in their second game of the 2009 on Wednesday, September 23. Despite falling behind early in the contest, Wellsboro never gave up and battled back in the second half. Quarterback Dylan Prough rushed for a touchdown and then connected with Mike Pietropola and Kieron Smethers on long passes for touchdowns.

Defensively, the Hornets forced three turnovers on interceptions from Nate Ingerick, T.J. Rice, and Kieron Smethers. The loss drops the Middle School team's record to 0-1-1.
