By: Ed Weaver  /  October 17, 2009

The Wellsboro offense struggled for the second consecutive week, and eventually fell to Athens, 43-0. Athens' Colin Eby threw for two scores and ran for another to lead the Wildcats. Eby completed all five of his pass attempts for 72 yards and two touchdowns and scored on his only rushing attempt. Lesser gained 100 yards on 12 carries. Casey Shiposh took over when Lesser sat down, carrying 13 times for 90 yards.

Nick Saniga was harassed all night by Athens defenders, and was only able to complete five of 21 passes for 75 yards. The Hornets will be in action next Friday night against Canton for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
