Montoursville denies Athens District Title chance

The 2008 NTL Large School Champion Athens Wildcats faced some of their own medicine last night when they stepped onto the field with Montoursville in the District 4 Class AA semifinal game. Montoursville easily defeated the Wildcats 42-7 at Athens, and will now face Mount Carmel for the District 4 Class AA Title.

The Warriors were able to keep Shane Raupers in check all night and found themselves on top 28-0 at the half and outgained the Wildcats 390-64 in total offense before taking their starters out. Athens finishes the 2008 season with a 10-2 record.
