JV Hornets Pick Up First Win of Season

The 2008 J.V. Hornets kicked off their season with a 35-0 win over Cowanesque. This win marks the first time in over a year that the Wellsboro J.V. team has won a game. The scoring started early for Wellsboro. On the second play of their opening drive, Sophomore Quarterback Nick Saniga connected with Sophomore Receiver Ethan Callahan for their first of two scores in the quarter.

Also adding touchdowns on the night were Junior Fullback Kirk Butler, Sophomore Running Back Jake Clemens, and Freshman Running Back Thomas Johnston. The J.V. Hornets will be in action next Monday night at home against Troy at 6:00 p.m.
