The Wellsboro J.V. team traveled to Wyalusing to take on the Rams for a rematch of Friday night. After allowing a short Wyalusing touchdown run, the Hornets bouced back and put a drive together and marched roughly 60 yards to the end zone before Sophomore Quarterback Nick Saniga found Sophomore Receiver Ethan Callahan wide open in the back of the end zone. The extra point was no good, and Wellsboro trailed the Rams for the rest of the first half 7-6.
In the second half, Wellsboro was able to mount one more score as Saniga connected with Sophomore Running Back Jake Clemens on a long pass, but missed the two point conversion. The Hornets couldn't overcome turnovers in the half and fell to Wyalusing 27-12. The J.V. team will be in action next Monday afternoon for a 4:30 game against the Sayre Redskins.
