Hornets Hang Tough against Towanda

By: Ed Weaver  /  October 7, 2008

The J.V. Hornets put up a great fight in their game Monday night against Towanda, but came up short in the final minutes, 20-14. Wellsboro got on the board first by a Nathan Bair interception return for a touchdown, and hung on to a 14-7 lead at the half. However, two costly turnovers propelled the Black Knights past the Hornets in the final minute of the game.

The Wellsboro J.V. team will return to action on Saturday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Athens.
