The 2008 regular season is over, and the Morton Jones Trophy is back at Wellsboro. The Hornets defeated rival North Penn 28-7. The Hornets got on the board first when Senior Quarterback Cameron Jones setup a screen pass to Senior Fullback Pat Driebelbies to put the Hornets up 7-0.
Jones connected again in the half with Senior Receiver Garrett Stager for another touchdown to put the Hornets up 14-0 going into halftime. In the second half, Senior Safety Jake Coolidge intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to put the Hornets up 22-0 after the two point conversion. The Hornets finished out the scoring when Jones connected with Sophomore Receiver Ethan Callahan for his first Varsity touchdown reception.
