District 4 Playoff Coverage

The first week of the District 4 Playoffs are now in the bag. Of the five Northern Tier League teams making a trip to the 2008 post-season, Athens will be the only team moving on to round two of the playoffs.

Athens will face Montoursville after they defeated the Towanda Black Knights by a score of 56-26. Troy fell to Mount Carmel by a final score of 50-0 to finish their 2008 season with an overall record of 6-5. Canton also fell to Line Mountain at home 14-0. Canton ends their season with a 9-2 overall record.
