The Williamsport Sun-Gazette has named Wellsboro this week's team to watch.
"The Green Hornets recorded a big win Friday, defeating Troy, 26-20. Wellsboro snapped a two-game losing streak against the Trojans as quarterback Cameron Jones played the best game of his varsity career. The first-time starting quarterback threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns, while Colton Acorn grabbed five of those passes and both of the touchdowns. Wellsboro has moved up to eighth in the District 4 Class AA playoff standings meaning it controls its playoff destiny since the top eight teams advance. The Hornets have a favorable schedule down the stretch so a playoff berth and a first winning season this decade are well within reach."
