The Troy Trojans came into last night's game with the Hornets looking to improve their record to 4-2 on the 2007 season. Cameron Jones and Colton Acorn, however, had other plans. On the first play of the game, the dynamic duo hooked up on a long bomb to put the Hornets up 6-0 with only a handful of time ticking off the clock.
Troy didn't give up, and actually took a 14-12 lead going into halftime, thanks to two long touchdown runs off the option. The Hornets battled back, as both Jake Coolidge and Colton Acorn added touchdowns in the second half to pull off the 26-20 victory over the Trojans. After a win on Senior Night, the Hornets will play their last home game of the year next Friday night against Montgomery for Homecoming.
