The Wellsboro Hornet Junior Varsity team headed into Monday night's contest with a 4-1 record, looking again for redemption from Friday night's varsity game. The Trojans thought different, however, as they put up the game's first points of the night. Wellsboro held tough in the first half, as Junior Safety Chad Shultz intercepted a Troy pass and returned it for a touchdown. At the half, Wellsboro was on top of Troy, 8-7.
In the second half, Troy's offense kept rolling along, putting up 14 more points before the end of the game. A penalty filled second half did not favor the Hornets, as the Trojans came back and held on to win 21-8.
