Lady Hornets drop Central Mountain in 3

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team picked up their fourth win in a row, and their second against Central Mountain, in a 3-0 win on Saturday, October 1.

The Lady Hornets won the first set 29-27, took the second 25-20, and the third 26-24.

Junior Jillian Graver led the team with 9 kills and 8 points (1 ace), senior Morgan Florio had 8 kills, 9 points (1 ace), and senior Kirsten Florio had 7 kills, 24 digs, and 7 blocks. Junior Brianne Keane recorded 15 assists, junior Hannah Burnett had 12 assists and 10 points, junior Sydney Tremper made 14 digs, and senior Olivia Kurtz had 13 digs.

In the JV game, the Lady Hornets won 2-0 (25-17, 25-8) to improve to 13-0 on the season.

The win improves the Lady Hornets' record 8-5. The team will be back in action later this evening as they host Galeton.
