The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win over Galeton for their fifth straight victory on Monday, October 3.
The Lady Hornets won the first set 25-14 and the second 25-19 before Galeton rebounded to take the third set 25-22. Wellsboro then won the fourth set 25-13 to take the match.
Senior Kirsten Florio and junior Jillian Graver each had 12 kills to lead the team while senior Morgan Florio had 10 kills. Kirsten Florio led the team with 12 points, senior Olivia Kurtz scored 10 points and had 2 aces, Graver and senior Kaeli Butters each had 1 solo block, junior Brianne Keane had 32 assists, and junior Sydney Tremper made 25 digs with Morgan Florio pitching in 24.
The Wellsboro JV team remained undefeated and improved to 14-0 with a 2-0 win.
The win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 9-5. The team will be back in action later this evening on the road in Sayre.
