The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team suffered a 4-0 shutout at South Williamsport on Wednesday, October 21.
South Williamsport scored two first half goals, one at 18:25 by Madison Harada and the second by Lela Warner at 25:46 to take a 2-0 lead at the half. The Lady Mounties added two more goals in the second half on another Harada goal at 47:42 and at 67:22 by Lexie Yerger.
South Williamsport edged the Lady Hornets in shots (15-14) and had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore Kailee Clymer recorded 11 saves in net on the night.
The JV game ended in a 1-1 tie. Freshman Dahlia Hosey scored Wellsboro's goal.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets' record to 8-6-2 (7-3-2 NTL). The team will be back in action today as they travel to Williamson.
