Young Wellsboro Volleyball Team Sweeps Sayre

Wellsboro's Junior High Volleyball team picked up their second straight win after sweep Sayre Wednesday evening.

The A team won 25-19 and 25-23 while the B team won 25-21 and 25-21.

Naleyah Greenfield and Natalie Weaver both scored 5 points to lead the young Lady Hornets while Taryn Sweet scored 4 points. Greenfield added 3 kills, Weaver and Nora Mickey had 2 kills apiece, and Blair Parsons chipped in 2 assists. Weaver also had 2 assists and Brynn Bourret added an assist and a dig.

Wellsboro improves to 4-2 and hosts Towanda on Monday.
