The Wellsboro Junior High Girls Basketball team suffered a 23-22 loss to North Penn-Liberty Wednesday night.
Trailing 19-12 after the third quarter the young Lady Hornets went on a 10-4 run in the 4th. North Penn-Liberty led 6-4 after the 1st and 13-6 at halftime.
"We didn’t play well in the first half," head coach Darrell Morris said. "The second half we came all the way back to within one and had a few good looks at the end. Even though we fell short, the girls did a lot of things well in the closing minutes and gained some great experience."

Greenfield added 9 rebounds and 2 steals, Ella Satalin had 6 rebounds and 2 assists, Natalie Weaver pitched in 4 steals and 2 rebounds, and Parsons and Gehman each pulled down two boards. Kennedy also made 3 steals.
The young Lady Hornets fall to 1-2 on the season. They are back in action Monday at Williamson.
