The Wellsboro Volleyball team shutout Wyalusing 3-0 in front of the home crowd last evening, running their win streak up to 2 games.
The Lady Hornets were in control in all three sets, winning 25-13, 25-16 and 25-11.
Junior Peyton Keane recorded 14 digs and had 3 kills to lead Wellsboro while junior Kendall Sweet scored 15 points on 2 aces and junior Adelyn Frantz had 11 points with 3 aces and 7 kills. She also added 2 blocks. Sweet added 5 kills and 7 digs, senior Madison Cruttenden registered 13 digs, senior Ellie Largey and junior Jillian Mickey recorded 10 assists apiece, and Mickey also scored 8 points on 2 aces.
Sophomore Gena Fleming also added a block.
Wellsboro also swept the JV game, 2-0. They won 25-4 and 25-13 to improve to 3-1.
The Lady Hornets (3-1, 3-1 NTL Large School Division) are back in action on Tuesday at Williamson.
