Lady Hornets Sweep South Williamsport

Wellsboro's Volleyball team got back in the win column after sweeping South Williamsport in non-league action on Tuesday night.

The Lady Hornets cruised in all three sets winning 25-12, 25-9 and 25-11.

Senior Madison Cruttenden led the Lady Hornets with 14 service points on 6 aces to go along with 7 digs and 2 assists. Junior Peyton Keane had 6 kills and 2 digs, junior Kendall Sweet had 6 kills and 2 digs, and junior Jillian Mickey scored 12 points on 6 aces and made 11 assists.

Junior Adelyn Frantz had 4 kills and 10 points (3 aces), senior Ellie Largey made 13 assists, and junior Lacie Brutsman had a block.

Wellsboro swept the evening, winning the JV game 2-0 (25-9, 25-7) to improve to 7-1 on the year.

The win in the Varsity game improves the Lady Hornets to 6-2 (5-1 NTL Large School Division).

The Lady Hornets hit the road Thursday evening to take on the Sayre Redskins.
