Lady Hornets Sweep NEB

Following their Tunkhannock Tournament win over the weekend, the Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team kept the momentum rolling with a 3-0 sweep of Northeast Bradford Tuesday evening.

The Lady Hornets cruised to victory, taking the sets 25-7, 25-16 and 25-11. They also swept the JV game, winning 2-0 (25-9 & 25-17).

Junior Kendall Sweet led the Lady Hornets with 15 points (6 aces) and 10 kills while junior Peyton Keane had 11 kills. Junior Adelyn Frantz scored 14 points (6 aces), made 5 kills and 6 digs, junior Jillian Mickey made 14 assists and scored 9 points and had 4 aces, senior Ellie Largey had 16 assists, senior Madison Cruttenden and junior Madalynn Flannery had 6 digs each.

Wellsboro (2-1, 2-1 NTL Large School Division) hosts Wyalusing on Thursday.
