Lady Hornets Edge Montgomery To Get Back To .500

The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team swept the singles portion of their non-league Saturday morning match with Montgomery to score a 3-2 win.

"I thought Piper and Serenity played very well today to help secure the win, they've both improved a lot this year and it really shows," commented head coach Spencer Kreisler. "This was a very important match for us to get one step closer to making team districts, so I'm glad we were able to close it out."

The win moves the Lady Hornets back to .500 at 6-6 (2-0 NTL). The team has their final three matches of the regular season this week. They travel to Muncy on Wednesday then host rival North Penn-Liberty for a double header, and Senior Night, on Thursday.
