Junior High Volleyball Team Tops Troy To Start The Season

The Wellsboro Junior High Volleyball team started the season off with a 2-1 victory against Troy Monday night.

The young Lady Hornets took the first set, 26-24, then dropped the 2nd, 25-11. Wellsboro then rallied to take the 3rd set, 15-8.

Natalie Weaver led Wellsboro with 19 points, 12 aces and 2 digs, and Leah Szentesy added 10 points, 2 aces and 3 assists. Brynn Bourret added 2 kills and 2 digs, and Blair Parsons had 2 assists.

The young Lady Hornets (1-0) host Williamsport on Wednesday.
