Junior High Volleyball Team Sweeps CV For 2nd Win

Wellsboro's Junior High Volleyball team shook off the first loss of the season last week against Williamsport by sweeping Cowanesque Valley Wendesday night on the road.

The A team won 25-16 and 25-19 while the B team also swept CV, 25-15 and 26-24.

Nora Mickey led the team with 9 points and 6 aces while Blair Parsons scored 8 points on 4 aces. Leah Szentesy added 5 points (1 ace) and Natalie Weaver had 4 points (4 aces) and 2 digs.

Brynn Bourret had 4 digs, Lylah Dillon had 3 digs and Kyerra Heck added 2 digs. Szentesy also added 2 assists and Weaver, Bourret, Naleyah Greenfield and Taryn Sweet all had single kills.

The young Lady Hornets are back in action Saturday morning against Athens.
