Wellsboro's Junior High Track & Field teams brought home a pair of top 5 finishes at Saturday's Port Allegany Junior High Invite.
The young Hornets finished 3rd overall with 84 points while the Lady Hornets were 4th with 54.33 points.
For the girls, Ryleigh Sporer won the 100m (13.75), Bristol Smith tied for 6th in the 200m (32.50), Sporer won the 400m (1:06.60), Serenity Harrison placed 12th in the 800m (3:41.80), Naleyah Greenfield finished 4th in the 100m hurdles (21.28) and 2nd in the 300m hurdles (54.50).
Wellsboro won the 4x100m (55.40) and was 4th in the 4x400m (5:30.20).
Isobel Kennedy tied for 7th in the long jump (10-ft, 9.5) and Ella Gehman took 2nd in the triple jump (26-ft, 3.5).
For the boys, Cody Tomlinson won the 100m (12.17) and Isaac Otbot (12.96) took 4th, Tomlinson (24.50) and Otbot (26.90) were 1st and 3rd in the 200m, Tomlinson won the 400m (55.80), and Nate Rudy (2:54.10) finished 9th in the 800m. Jeff Rawson (6:14.60) was 10th in the 1600m, William Rudy (13:12.50) and Declan Borzok (13:50.10) were 4th and 5th in the 3200m, and Justin Dunlap finished 6th in the 110m hurdles (22.31) and 3rd in the 300m hurdles (52.20).
The Hornets took 2nd in both of their relays, finishing the 4x400 in 4:30.60 and the 4x800m in 11:11.10.
Damon Boyce tied for 3rd in the high jump (4-ft, 10), Otbot took 3rd in the long jump (15-ft, 8), Elijah Sensenig finished 13th in the triple jump (21-ft, 9), Otbot was 4th in the shot put (32-ft, 11), Joey Abbott was 15th in the discus (58-ft, 11), and Dunlap was 16th in the javelin (41-ft, 9).
The young Hornets will wrap up their season Tuesday at the NTL Championships.
