JH Volleyball Team Sweeps NEB

Wellsboro's Junior High Volleyball team swept Northeast Bradford Monday evening, picking up their third win of the season.

Wellsboro won 25-11 and 25-16 in the A game, then the B team won 2-1: 25-14, 27-25, 15-9.

Aryah Owlett led the young Lady Hornets with 6 points on 4 aces while Natalie Weaver (4 aces), Blair Parsons (1 aces) and Maci Perry (2 aces) all added 4 points apiece. Brynn Bourret and Nora Mickey had 2 kills each, Kyerra Heck had 3 digs, Lylah Dillon added 2 digs, and Leah Szentesy pitched in 2 assists. Parsons also added 2 assists, a kill and a dig, Devan Fairbanks had a kill, and Adalynn Smith registered an assist.

Bourret and Weaver also had solo digs and Parsons and Weaver had one kill each.

The Lady Hornets (3-2) travel to Sayre on Wednesday.
