Hornets Place 3rd In 9-Hole Match Against Athens, North Penn-Mansfield

The Wellsboro Golf team took 3rd against Athens and North Penn-Mansfield in a 9-hole match at Corey Creek Wednesday afternoon.

The team shot a combined round of 179 to finish behind the Wildcats (168) and the Tigers (164).

Senior Syler Pietrzyk led the team with a round of 41 while junior Chase Schultz had a 45, sophomore Benjamin Jackson finished with a 46, freshman Jackson Largey shot 47, and sophomore Case Butler and junior Logan Johnson both had rounds of 50.

The Hornets (17-9, 17-9 NTL) are back in action at Towanda Golf Club on Monday.
