Hornets Pitch Shutout At NEB

Junior Camden Bryant and the Wellsboro Boys Soccer team's defense recorded their sixth shutout of the season following a 3-0 win at Northeast Bradford on Wednesday.

Wellsboro scored two goals before the mid-point of the opening half on goals from senior Jacob Smith and junior Gabe Cuneo, with assists from seniors Mason Brill and Dylan Tomlinson. Wellsboro added to their 2-0 lead with 24:34 remaining in the game on Cuneo's second goal, assisted by freshman Callen Novak.

Bryant's shutout was his fifth of the season.

Wellsboro out-shot the Panthers 9-7 and had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Hornets improve to 7-1-2 (6-1-1 NTL) and host Wyalusing on Saturday morning.
