The Wellsboro Boys Tennis team complete a perfect run through their NTL schedule, going 6-0 after they edged Towanda 3-2 Tuesday afternoon at Packer Park on Senior Night.
The win is the Hornets' six straight NTL league title, and their 8th in the last nine seasons. There was no season in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I really enjoyed watching our seniors play tonight, and it was nice that we got to celebrate it with another NTL school," said head coach Andy Borzok. "Luke and Liam have been with the program since they were freshman and they have been outstanding leaders and role models for the rest of the team. Karter came out for the team for the first time this year and he really fit in perfectly with our team culture. Our regular season is winding down this week and I’m proud of the boys for what they’ve accomplished so far this year and how they have carried themselves. I'm looking to see what we can accomplish in the post season."
