Wellsboro picked back up where they left off last week by sweeping their home-opening track meet against Troy, Williamson and Wyalusing on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Hornets scored 103 points to beat Williamson (91), Wyalusing (45) and Troy (37). The Hornets cruised with 110 team points, followed by Wyalusing in 2nd (77), Troy (57) and Williamson (32).
For the girls, junior Piper Hoprich (12.63) and sophomore Luna Moyer (13.20) swept the 100m, Hoprich (26.24), senior Sophia Yoder (29.14), and freshman Dillyn Patt (29.43) swept the 200m, junior Lauren Kosek was 2nd in the 400m (1:07.21), 2nd in the 800m (2:31.78), 1st in the 1600m (5:52.01) and 1st in the 3200m (12:53.49).
Sophomore Jennifer Belz (18.71) was 4th in the 100m hurdles, sophomore Isla Twoey (50.84) won the 300m hurdles, sophomore Lauren Gehman (4-ft, 8) was 3rd in the high jump, junior Ellie Largey (7-ft) and senior Megan Mosher (6-ft, 6) swept the pole vault, Twoey (15-ft, 0.75) and senior Kristina Belz (15-ft) were 3rd and 4th in the long jump, and Twoey (32-ft, 11) was 2nd in the triple jump.
Sophomore Katie Whitney (25-ft, 3) took 5th in the shot put, sophomore Serenity Mosher (72-ft, 7) was 5th in the discus, and junior Sienna Zengerle (85-ft) won the javelin.
The Lady Hornets won both the 4x100m relay (51.28) and the 4x400m relay (4:42.53) and were 3rd in the 4x800m relay (13:20.24).
For the boys, senior Jacoby Strang (11.96) was 2nd in the 100m, senior Jonathan Carlwon the 200m (23.25) and the 400m (50.79), senior Jude Cuneo (2:08.15) took 1st in the 800m, seniors Henry Whitney (5:06.31) and Max Macias (5:06.65) went 1-2 in the 1600m, and Macias (11:15.73) and Henry (11:17.24) were 1st and 2nd in the 3200m.
Senior David Seeling took home the top spot in both the 110m hurdles (16.75) and the 300m hurdles (42.30), Seeling won the high jump (6-ft, 4), junior Jacob Smith (8-ft) was 5th in the pole vault, sophomore Brayden Benjamin (19-ft, 5) was 2nd in the long jump, and Carl (40-ft, 11.5) took 2nd in the triple jump.
Sophomore Ransom Schultz (39-ft, 8) and freshman Conlen Whitsell (36-ft, 4.5) were 2nd and 3rd in the shot put, Whitsell (99-ft) was 4th in the discus, and Schultz (139-ft, 7) won the javelin.
Wellsboro took two of the three relays, winning the 4x400m (3:43.94) and the 4x800m (9:16.65) and were 2nd in the 4x100m (47.68).
Both teams are back in action Thursday at the Molly Dry Invite, hosted at Mansfield University.
